What Do People Say About Brighton Beach House? We Had A Look Through The Reviews

Reading your own Google reviews is a dangerous game.

One minute you’re feeling good about life, the next minute someone’s furious because their poached eggs weren’t spiritually transformative enough.

Luckily for us though, most people visiting Brighton Beach House seem to leave pretty happy.

And after going through a whole pile of customer reviews, a few things come up again and again.

“Friendly service”

This is probably the thing we’re most proud of.

People mention our team constantly in reviews. Not just quick service, but genuinely friendly service.

We’re not into stiff, robotic hospitality. We’d rather people feel comfortable, looked after, and able to relax a bit.

Whether you’re:

  • grabbing a quick coffee

  • meeting friends for brunch

  • dragging exhausted kids in after sport

  • turning up with your dog

…we want BBH to feel easy.

“Great atmosphere”

A lot of reviews talk about the vibe here.

And honestly, that’s intentional.

We never wanted Brighton Beach House to feel overly polished or pretentious. It’s supposed to feel like a local place where everyone’s welcome.

Some people come for brunch. Some for coffee. Some for Friday night cocktails. Some because the dog insists.

All valid reasons.

“The burgers are insane”

Direct quote energy.

Our award-winning Extreme Cheeseburger has developed a bit of a reputation around Christchurch, and people definitely talk about it online.

The seafood chowder gets a lot of love too, along with:

  • eggs benedict

  • waffles

  • cabinet treats

  • coffee

Basically carbs and comfort. The dream.

“Dog-friendly”

This one pops up constantly.

We’re proud to be one of the more genuinely dog-friendly cafes in Christchurch.

Outside we’ve got:

  • dog beds

  • water bowls

  • dog treats

  • dog beer

  • doggy ice cream

Which honestly feels excessive until you see how excited dogs get about it.

“Great spot near Broad Park”

Being close to Broad Park and New Brighton makes us a handy stop for:

  • families

  • beach walks

  • sports games

  • playground trips

  • weekend catch-ups

A lot of people make a whole outing of it.

Coffee, brunch, park, beach, maybe a second coffee because the first one disappeared too quickly.

Do we have gluten-free and vegetarian options?

Yep.

A lot of reviews mention how accommodating the team are around dietary requirements too.

We’ve got vegetarian options across the menu and gluten-free options available, and our staff are always happy to help guide people through the menu.

Friday nights deserve more attention

If you haven’t been in on a Friday night yet, you probably should.

Dinner service has its own feel compared to daytime BBH.

More cocktails.More wine.More “we’ll just stay for one more”.

Still casual though. Always casual.

So what’s the overall vibe?

If we had to sum up Brighton Beach House in one sentence, it’d probably be this:

Good food, good people, no fuss. Read all the real google reviews about Brighton Beach House Here!

And judging by the reviews, that seems to be working pretty well so far.

So if you’re searching for:

  • best cafes in New Brighton

  • casual dining Christchurch

  • dog-friendly cafes Christchurch

  • brunch near Broad Park

  • where to eat in New Brighton

…we’d love to see you in soon.
