Let’s be honest.
Some places say they’re dog-friendly because they reluctantly allow your dog to sit nearby while everyone silently judges you.
That’s not us.
At Brighton Beach House, dogs are part of the furniture. Slightly fluffier furniture, but still.
We’ve built our outdoor spaces to actually work for dog owners because we’re dog people ourselves.
Dont believe us read here what others say about how do friendly we are Dog Friendly Reviews
What makes BBH dog-friendly?
Glad you asked.
We’ve got:
Outdoor seating areas
Water bowls
Doggy beds
Doggy treats
Doggy ice cream
Dog beer (yes, it’s bone broth and yes, dogs lose their minds over it)
We see everything from tiny fluff balls to giant farm dogs wandering through.
And honestly, they usually improve the atmosphere.

Things to do nearby with your dog
One of the best things about our location is being close to:
Broad Park
New Brighton and Waimairi beach walks
Open green spaces
Walking tracks nearby
A lot of people grab coffee first, head for a walk, then come back for lunch. Or vice versa depending on how committed the dog is to sniffing literally everything.
What about food for humans?
We suppose that matters too.
Our brunch menu is packed with local favourites including:
Eggs benedict
Waffles
Burgers
Seafood chowder
Vegetarian options
Gluten-free options
And yes, there’s coffee. Good coffee. The kind that fixes moods.
Friday nights at BBH
We’re also open Friday and Saturday nights for casual dinner and drinks.
So if you’re searching for:
dog-friendly cafes Christchurch
outdoor dining New Brighton
casual dining near Broad Park
where to eat after a beach walk
…BBH is probably exactly what you’re looking for.
Bring the dog. They’ll drag you back anyway.
